Kleen Kitchen Protein Energy Ball Recipe. At our ‘Escape to the Beach’ event in August we had some incredible food made by Nicola at the Kleen Kitchen. One of the popular treats we enjoyed were these delicious energy balls. They are made with ‘Form’ protein but you could use your usual protein powder. They are a great go-to snack for an on-the-go energy boost.
Makes 30 delicious energy balls:
1 cup almonds
1 cup soft dates
1 cup sunflower seeds
2tbsp smooth peanut butter
1/2 cup chia
3 tbsp @formnutrition powder
Desiccated coconut for decoration (optional)
Step 1: blend almonds and sunflower seeds until they are super fine.
Step 2: add chia seeds, nut butter, pinch of sea salt, protein powder and dates.
Step 3: blend until mixture is well combined and sticky. (Can add water if needed)
Step 4: roll into small balls and roll in dedicated coconut
Step 5: keep in fridge for 5 days or freezer for 2 months.
